Red leaves along the Rideau Canal, let's remember autumn colors in Ottawa

Snow slowly starts falling in Ottawa. The trees are thin, grey and blank, naked. The pavement will slowly get white.

But a couple of weeks ago, autumn was still around with its classic canadian-red leaves on display. Colorful scenery wherever you could find a tree, bursting with orange scarlet when the sky could take bright blue tints. The big red Canadian show of which I took some pictures while simply walking along the Rideau Canal. It's a bit late to show the pictures but it can also be slightly comforting to see such colors again now that snow is coming.

Just a matter of transition by the way. The canal looks currently rather dull with its thin water layer in between concrete walls. But within a couple of weeks, the ridiculous layer will freeze and the longest ice-rink in the world will be ready again... Colorless and still exciting...
